Read the country figures with care. They count what we collect, and how much of each classifieds site we read differs by country. They are a fair measure of what is available through yeybu; they are not a comparison of national behaviour, and per-capita conclusions cannot be drawn from them.
This is counted the same way everywhere, so unlike the country table it does compare fairly. Across 192,748 categorised listings, home & garden leads at 51% of everything given away in Europe - more than the next three categories combined.
| Category | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Home & Garden | 99,103 | 51% |
| Family & Kids | 31,780 | 16% |
| Hobbies & Entertainment | 20,184 | 10% |
| Electronics | 16,808 | 9% |
| Clothing & Accessories | 9,527 | 5% |
| Sports & Outdoors | 6,137 | 3% |
| Vehicles & Parts | 6,109 | 3% |
| Pets | 3,100 | 2% |
Shares of each country's own categorised listings. Because every country is mapped through the same category table, these shares compare fairly even though the raw totals above do not.

Each listing is collected from a local classifieds site, filtered to genuine giveaways (adverts with a price, want ads and paid services are excluded), and then re-checked against the site it came from. A listing disappears from these counts once the original advert is gone, so "available now" means what it says.
Nothing here is for sale and there is no fee. Every listing links to the original advert.
Councils, universities, reuse and waste-reduction projects and journalists are welcome to quote them, with attribution to yeybu and a link to this page. Per-country or per-city figures for a specific area are available on request at [email protected].
